Education and training in Surf Life Saving is paramount to ensure all active members have the knowledge and understanding to apply their life saving skills in an emergency situation. 

Surf Life Saving offers members a range of life saving awards, some of which are required to perform certain roles within the club and others are aimed at providing further development opportunities for our volunteers.

SWRSLSC prides itself on providing high quality training for new and existing members and boasts an education team with over 150 years’ experience in the surf life saving movement. Our trainers are all proficient, patrolling members who really care about members becoming the best life savers they can be.

Courses that are delivered by the Club include;

• Resuscitation Certificate,
• Radio Operator Certificate,
• Surf Rescue Certificate, 
• Bronze Medallion,
• IRB Crew and
• Silver Medallion – IRB Driver

Other courses are facilitated through Surf Life Saving Mid North Coast.
