‘Yakka’ as he was fondly known gained his Bronze Medallion in 1951. He took on the role of Club President for two seasons – 1980/81 and 1981/82. ‘Yakka’ also gained other awards such as Advanced Resuscitation, IRB Crew and IRB Driver as well as being a Training Officer and Examiner for all awards he held. In 1976 he was awarded a 25 Year Long Service Award and was made Life Member of the MNC Branch in 1994.
